Mickey Thompson wheels are manufactured using Alcoa's one-piece hot-die forging process, which totally eliminates porosity and adds strength. This process uses extreme pressure to form a very hot chunk of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy into shape over a die. These wheels are stronger, harder and tougher because heat treating modifies the grain structure of the finished wheel. The result is a wheel with a higher yield strength than most aftermarket wheels and a load rating of up to 3,000 lbs. per wheel.
